Chinese Balloon Fashion Show
If I think of twisting balloons, I think of it as entertainment for little kids, but these photos taken at a “Balloon Fashion Show” in China illustrate how far it has come as an art form.
Some are amazingly imaginative and detailed!

Hmmm what fun I could have with a pin or maybe so blow darts…he he he
Can you imagine all the static charges that would build up just from moving around in it as well as shocking the hell out of people not alone yourself?
Hey,
If anyone knows who organizes these shows, please send me an e-mail. Russ.martin@ryerson.ca. Cheers!

While I was not there, I actually know the entire ensemble of artists that helped create the Shanghai Fashion Show. Several of them are close personal friends of mine. One of those artists and I will be creating balloon fashions for the Univision program Sabado Gigante later this week (3/27). If you would like any information regarding the project producer for the KimTom Festival, please feel free to email me for his contact information. justmarie@balloonhq.com
PS - Balloon fashions don’t create the static charge you’d think they do
But, yes, the models do avoid sharp objects at all costs.
