What Happens When A Blogger Dies?
Its something that I’ve been wondering about for a long time. What happens to my blog if I’m gone? There must be blogs that have been abandoned due to their owner passing away. Where are those blogs? Would anyone ever know? Unless we had immediate family who has access to our blogs or very close friends, our readers might never know where we went. Maybe even thinking that we merely lost interest in blogging.
Its a strange and eerie thought, but still a reality. The ideal would be for a fellow blogger to be in touch with your family - right? And that fellow blogger will have access to your blog’s username / password just to let the readers know what has happened. I don’t have someone like that unfortunately. Maybe I should try to find one?
The same counts for all my e-mail addresses. I have quite a few of those, and though my work e-mail addy would be sorted, I doubt if anyone would figure out the security questions / passwords for my other e-mail addy’s.
Any advice on this? Have any one of you got a backup plan I can use?

Whilst being on Mingle on Friday, this was the quiz which I actually wanted to do, so here you go with the results:
I’ve known for a long time that I’m hooked on blogging, but never knew it was this bad… Anyone willing to sponsor me for therapy
Disaster Strikes Here
My sidebar is a disaster I know. I’ve been trying to fix is half heartedly and kinda given up. Tomorrow I need to clean it up though - the new RSS button is quite nice, hey? I got it from Stii, but still need to get rid of the white bits. That was an experiment, and I only now realized, when I got home, that I left the original photoshop file at work. Pfff.
I’m going to get rid of all the community buttons - they irritate me. Any suggestions?
7 commentsCatching Up Slowly
I installed an ‘e-mail’ plugin on my blog just now. Its suppose to put a little envelope icon next to my comments link for each post, but it doesn’t!
I’m kinda doing this post to see if it only works on new posts, and if it doesn’t, can anyone help? There is an e-mail address in the readme file, so I will e-mail that eventually if I can’t figure it out.
Other than that things have been a bit hectic at work. Sorry for neglecting you this week. I try to catch up in the evenings.
For those of you who like to check your blog statistics - apply for a reinvigorate account!! I applied, and though its still in beta its awesome! You have to wait a bit for your account but its well worth it!! For screen shots visit The Unknown Soldier.
Other than work I’ve been messing on Photoshop - always remember to make backups of your .psd images - you might just want to edit one of the someday, and if you lose you harddrive, you will be very thankful for backups. I can kick myself for not making backups, because I can’t edit a certain image really - and I don’t have time to make a new one. Listen to the little voice in your head saying: “MAKE BACKUPS”… ALWAYS.
For now I’m going to get ready for bed. I got new facial cleansing lotion & what not - even eye cream *blush*… Things like this are necessary when you go over 24 :/
Its really nice products though - so if any of you girls are looking for something high quality - try Annique - its really great!!
By the way, the image doesn’t have any relation to this post - in case you were puzzled. I couldn’t find a nice fitting one, and thought this one was kinda cool
Patience Is A Virtue?
Damn I don’t think I’m very virtuous
I’m one of the most impatient people I know. Like now I can’t wait until this blog is up and running like my previous one was.
If you noticed my old blog is unavailable, its because Wordpress decided to close it down. Luckily I was in the process of getting this one ready, so I wasn’t caught too off guard - I just had to rush things a bit. I think I finally got a theme? Tell me what you think about it. I needed something different than the normal Wordpress themes, but with a sidebar which at least displays my blogroll.
Now I’m kinda comfy here, except that hardly anyone has been around. It’d be nice to know that you guys found me again? I miss your comments!
For those of you who’d like to swap links, please leave me a comment!!

…Coffee, or hot chocolate perhaps? Sorry about the mess. Things are still upside down here, I know. But in due time I will hopefully sort it all out. Welcome to my new blog!! I have finally upgraded to a proper domain, thank you for your help Rush
For now I will busy myself with all the little bits only I will see - I need to get proper stats working again, and I also need to find a theme. Any suggestions would be great. I want something unique and fresh, yet not overly expensive.
Hopefully I can get myself setup soon - take care, and please pop-in if you miss me
Recycling Is Good For You!
Yes, we all knows we have to recycle - paper, glass, who know what else, so here I’m going to make my contribution and recycle an old post
Thanks
to Beth who tagged me, I bring to you the bit below from a post I did about a year ago (June,20th - 2006)

No commentsPayPerPost Feedback
I told you when I first started with PayPerPost, and since then I’ve done six posts - that’s not much. But I’ve made just about $70 so far! Not too bad hey? I’ve tried SoulCast, Google and who knows what else, and so far, I don’t even have $70 combined from all those!
PayPerPost is really cool! I get to choose topics which I want to blog about, and get paid for it! There’s a brief approval stage, and you will get
notified via e-mail if your post has been rejected, including the reason for it being rejected. You can then go and ammend the problem area, and resubmit your post! I have had a post rejected once, but only because I didn’t read the fine print well. They sometimes require to to have a disclaimer on your blog, which is what I had left out.
PayPerPost is straight forward, and even fun!
You can make money blogging too, just sign up, for free, and start posting. You will need to have a paypal account already, and you’ll have to have it activated for incoming funds too - not only outgoing as it is by default.
Once you’re setup, you’re good to go and get some $$!

Yeah, I know, dumb title, but who cares? ![]()
Its time for bed, and I’m fussing with all kinds of things. First I got an app on my phone to do VOIP. I then got Twitter to work from my phone, just had to figure it out though. And now I’m posting to Wordpress from my phone! Cool hey? I’m now fully mobile!!
I really need to go to bed now. Can’t stop yawning. Night for now

Seeing as I was bored, and very unresourceful, here’s a couple of facts about me you probably couldn’t give a hoot about… This is what I got from http://www.blogthings.com/
