One day, instead of retiring, I want to spend time travelling the world… Still, where would I start - I dont have the vaguest clue - probably some tropical island!

I’m Listening to “Kelis, I hate you so much right now” - haven’t heard this song in AGES, and its such a catchy tune. I’m gonna listen to it in traffic from now on, and YELL it at the people who drive like pigs.

I’m so sore from exercising in the gym yesterday. I’m tired and grumpy, and should really go to bed. I don’t feel like it though.

I cannot believe that another week has passed by so quickly. Only 44 days left till the wedding, and it feels like forever - I guess I’m gonna wish for more time when it comes to the last week. There’s still a lot that has to be done. So many things to plan :S I can understand why people do this more than once - I’d also like to perfect it. LOL. But only if I can do it with the same person though

On the other side there is work. There is a lot that has to be done at work before I go on leave. I won’t bore you with the technical details, but basically we’re upgrading our environment, and we need to do THOROUGH testing before anything goes onto the live server. Can you imagine what would happen if something went wrong? Imagine thousands of people not being able to play poker, deposit money, etc?!

Maybe I should just take it easy and focus on each day individually, but its not that easy. I feel like I need a holiday, and even though our honeymoon is still coming, it just seems so far away!!

Some departments of our company is located in Costa Rica, and I today I saw Costa Rica vacation packages on offer. I think it would be a brilliant idea for the company to pay for a trip to Costa Rica, part holiday, part work - haha. I can always THINK UP something to do there

And its finally 2008!  Hope you all have a really great year ahead, and hope that you’ve enjoyed the time of rest.  Have a happy 2008!!!

I have been looking forward to summer for so long, and I can’t believe that the time has finally come when I can just sit in the sun, next to the pool, and read a book whilst sipping on a smoothy… or something yummy.

I would of course rather spend the time on a beach somewhere -

preferrably a far off island - but not too primitave - I’m too lazy for that this time of the year

When I went to Mauritius in 2004, we had such a good time. Even though I was there for work (au pairing), I definitely had time to unwinde. We went to quite a couple of different towns, but of course, spent a lot of time on the beach as well. I went for a full body massage, which was just

devine, and also bought loads of gifts for friends. The exchange rate between South African Rands and Rupees was quite good at the time, I got 5 Rupees for each Rand!

I bought a whole load of coral jewelry, and of course Sarongs. They have some of the most beautiful Sarongs ever, and for CHEAP!

Since its summer here, its the perfect season to put on your bikini, sarong, sunscreen, grab a book - and RELAX.
