Cher Live In Las Vegas!?

Cher found fame in 1965 as half of the pop duo Sonny & Cher and hs since gone on to become one of the most successful solo recording artists, releasing over 25 albums and earning a Grammy Award®, Emmy Award, Academy Award, three Golden Globes and several Billboard Music Awards as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Its now 2008, and I love Cher’s music, though now, it only brings back memories of my high school years, there was a time when her hits were really big. Now they are probably considered classics, even though they were only launched in the 90’s. I find it particularly amazing that a single person can perform for such a long time. Her music is timeless, and she seems to be somewhat timeless as well…
Grammy® award winning performer Cher will begin performing at Ceasar’s Palace in Las Vegas in May, 2008. Cher joins an exclusive list of stars to perform at Ceasars Palace that includes Celine Dion, Elton John and Bette Midler.
I wonder if she’ll ever bring out an album again. She’s been pretty quiet lately. If you feel like you need to relive the 90’s with Cher, or if you’re just a fan, there are Cher tickets Las Vegas which you can get at Team One Tickets, online! They are pretty pricy, and start at about $224. I guess if you’re a loyal fan, and can’t afford to miss this oppurtunity, you’ll have to start saving up now already.

For those of you who really need Roadside Assistance, Paragon Motor Club does offer their services at reasonable prices. They currently have a couple of special offers for as little as $8.50, which I can agree, is not a lot - but this obviously depends on what you get for your money. The $8.50 will include Auto Advantage Roadside plus Advantage Tire & Wheel Protection - though I am in South Africa, and can’t tell you if this is a good price. You tell me?
Lead Dogs
I started looking into this sales lead management website, purely out of interest for their name. I later discovered that the name was decided upon whilst they were having margerita’s, but its still quite fitting in my opinion
Since 1994, companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Shell and Orbitz have outsourced to The Lead Dogs to generate, manage and nurture sales leads that turn into revenue. The reasons why are simple: they are rabid about quality; they keep a careful eye on their campaigns; their reporting and technology integration is unmatched; and their vision of developing leads that aren’t yet ready for their sales organizations increases their marketing ROI.
If you need business-to-business marketing for your company, you should definitely pay attention, and at least visit the Lead Dogs website. You will find their high quality marketing not only valuable for your company, but essential.
Mortgages
Mortgages is not something that I like talking or writing about. But I guess, if we’re priviledged enough, we all have to face them some time in our lives. I never knew what a hassle it was till I had to go through the whole rig-ma-roll of applying for a mortgage. Here in SA we rather talk about home loans though. Makes more sense though, the word ‘mortgage’ sounds like some car part. LOL.
Anyway, if you need to apply for a morgage, you should check out earth.co.uk. Apparantly they offer reasonable mortgages, and its quite easy to apply.
Good luck!
No commentsFlights To Canada
Flights to Canada are now cheaper than ever. Whether you’ve always wanted to see majestic lakes, or if you just have to go to Canada for a business trip, you will find affordable plane tickets on the dial a flight website. They offer a special from March 19th to April 30th 2008 - flying from London to Toronto for only £293.
Canada offers a large variety of tourist attractions, from cosmopolitan cities such as Montreal and Toronto in the Southern parts, to the isolated Eskimo settlements around the icy shores of Hudson Bay.
There are thousands of lakes and rivers of the interior provide superb watersports and fishing, as well as the Atlantic & Pacific oceans. The mountain ranges, such as the Rocky Mountains, offer breathtaking scenery. Some of the best resorts are in the series of great National Parks which preserve the wildlife and forests of Canada. The Northern parts offer the beautiful wilderness, also in National Parks.
Personally I would love to go skiing in Canada. Though I’m not very adventurous, and I might end up falling my arse off, I still do want to try it one day.
Sales Training
We all know how important training can be in the corporate world. Businesses usually want to see proof of your competence, and they want it on paper.
This is the best way for most businesses to make sure that they don’t hire someone who’s a fake. Someone who pretends to know what they talk about.
I heard recently of a person who even faked their qualification on their CV!! Obviously they got fired as soon as the company caught them out, but with Sales Training UK you won’t need to lie on your CV anymore. For those more honest people, you will have something worthwhile to add to your qualifications!
No commentsNeed Refinancing?
Living in SA, its pretty hard to be without a motor vehicle. For me, it would be close to impossible to continue working if I didn’t have a car. I suppose in the US its pretty much the same. However, while I was in the UK I never owned a car, and never needed one. The public transport is just so good, that you really don’t need your own means of transport.
Unfortunately we have to face the reality of living in larger countries, with public transport that isn’t developed as well as we’d like.
If you need to refinance your car, have a look at RateGenius. Their customers save an average of $60 or more off of their current monthly car payment, and on average reduce their interest rate by 3.5%.
They have an automated system for quick turn-around of refinance applications, check it out Auto Refinance on their site.
They promise to find the best rate, term, and payment to fit your lifestyle. Their customers may enjoy up to 60 days before their first payment. And best of all, their refinancing service is FREE!
My Great Trek
This weekend I moved into the new flat. I knew that I was going to have to move this weekend, but I never imagined that it would be such a huge task. At least all my things are in the flat now, but I haven’t even unpacked half of it! I will continue tonight, if I have the energy.
At least all the big furniture has been moved, and I now have a louge suite for guests to sit on instead of folding chairs. Also got a dining set to eat supper at, which I just LOVE. Its so cozy
The beds are obviously also in, but I might want to swop the single bed in the spare bedroom for a sleeper sectional - those are really convenient in a small flat, yet at the same time you can still receive guests to sleep over.
My first night there was OK. I wasn’t scared or anything, but it was really hot, and I struggled to sleep. Once I fell asleep I awoke every so often, wondering if I had overslept (even though I use an alarm).
This morning was the first time I had drive from there to work, and it was a nightmare. Its 5km’s further than my previous place, but it took me 3 times as long to get to work - I drove an hour and half!!!
Tomorrow I’ll try leaving home even earlier, and maybe use a different route. I hated spending half an hour in traffic before, but this is just insane!!
For now I gotta get some work done, there are some important things that require my urgent attention.
Hope you all had a good weekend, and that the week ahead won’t be too rough! ![]()
Changing Your Body Shape
Cosmetic surgery is not something anyone will consider, but there are many people who’ve already accepted this as part of normal life. A friend of mine was talking having a Breast Enlargement, but I never thought she was THAT serious. After not seeing each other for a while we had coffee again a while back, and she actually had it done!! I can’t believe that she had the guts to do it. I’m just too much of a sissy I guess. I’m really scared of pain, and I can’t see myself going through all that just to have bigger boobies.
Yes, I’ve always wanted to be a full C, but I guess its just not meant for all of us. However, if you have the guts (and the money), to have this done, there’s no reason why you should make peace with your size. You might very well change from a pear to an hour glass for that matter!
Manchester Houses
Apparently house prices in Manchester is great for first time buyers at the moment! I guess that’s specifically for buyers who are earning pounds though
Still, with Commercial Mortgage you might just be able to buy a house in England if you’re up to it! I would love to. I lived there for about a year, and I loved the country so much. Most people in sunny South Africa don’t understand how I can put up with the constant raining and grey days, but there is something so special about that atmosphere.
I spent the summer shopping till 9pm, and walking in the park - feeding the swans. It was such an idyllic life, that sometimes when I think back it feels like a dream. If I could, I would immigrate to England, and bring up my children there. Its just so much safer than South Africa. I suppose there always are downsides, and one of these would be that my family live in South Africa - well, most of them.
Some of our family are in the States, and other live in Europe, so I guess it would enable me to visit them regularly.
