Zunaid Hoosen Mia was caught speeding his bike at a mere 276km/h (that is 171.5 mph) because he was late for his breakfast run. His punishment? 150 hours community service in the morgue!! I think that should be disturbing experience, but hopefully a wake up call for this maniac! He claims that he didn’t know at what speed he was travelling, because it was too dangerous to look down at such a speed.

Speeding Bike

The judge wanted to suspend Mia’s driver’s license, but took into account that he is the sole breadwinner for his wife, and three small children. If you ask me, its more of a risk to have him on his bike, than without a license, but who am I to judge. I’m just still wondering why the judge didn’t think of public transport?

He was also given a fine of R60 000 or three years in prison. Two-thirds of his sentence was suspended for five years.
