Helping The Children Of South Africa

We all know how much sadness there is in the world, and one of the areas that touch my heart especially, is children.

I have recently become involved in an organization that arranges a camp for children who are abused and neglected. They’re called Royal Family Kids’ Camps, and come originally from the US.

The camp is only a week long, and in that week, the goal is to let these children feel loved and respected. To give them good memories.

Most of these kids have never celebrated Christmas, and some don’t even know when their birthday is.

ChildDuring the camp there are a lot of activities, all of these aiming to treat the children like royalty, to teach them basic social skills, and also to make them feel part of a family.

They get served food which normal kids like, and can eat as much as they like, as most of these kids are underfed.

My involvement in this is hard to explain. But lets just say that I will be attending the camp with the kids, for the whole week.  It also involves raising funds, preparing the room for four kiddies with a theme, and buying some gifts for them.

We do still need funds in order for the camp to happen, so if you would like to help fund this camp, or know of a company who would like to be involved in this, please contact me. You can e-mail me, and I will arrange for a phone or skype call with you.

I hate having to ask for money – like begging, but I believe that this is for an excellent cause, and I would feel bad for depriving you of the opportunity to give – to invest in young life.

Hope to find my e-mail box filled up soon :)
