Like most of you will know, English is my second language. I suppose I’m quite used to speaking English though, because I work with a lot of English folks. Most of the books that I read are also English, mainly because I try to improve my vocabulary, and my favourite authors are English.
I still come across some words which I’ve never heard before, and cannot even make an assumption from the base of the word. I recently read the word “lavacious” – and had never seen it before. Its such a nice word – I can m
ake my own assumption of the meaning by just listening to it. Strangely enough its not in any online dictionary, and you only find the word on google for its listing on the BrutalFruit website
Strange isn’t it? Anyone else got a meaning for me? I found out from a friend that its kind of sensual? Anyway, I’d love to hear whether you know what it means or not

I’m a native speaker but I’m far from a English grammar major. My guess is that it is a new mutant English word from noun Lava- and the stem -cious. Most likely it’s a description for the drink: something that is as “brutal” as flowing lava (no doubt from the alcoholic hangover you’ll get the next morning) but delicious, vivacious, etc. at the same time. Have you tried a lavacious lemon yet?
Well it is supposed to evoke the same thoughts as “Lascivious” I suppose, you know all these copywriters for the add agencies are closet sex addicts… or so I am told.
Or one could act rather lasciviously if one consumed too many of them?
Found this over at Urban Dictionary:
1. lavalicious
A girl of surpassing hotness, uncanny appeal, and supreme desireability. All three conditions must be met to be a true Lavalicious.
“Lavalicious is so hot she could set the city and possibly all of california on fire.”

danette is definitely Lavalicious
Heza,

Paul,
LOL – No comment.
Funny, this “lavacious” came to me in a dream. I am now online trying to figure what its all about. Probably nothing. One of those things your semi consciousness hears and screams out to you after dark. If anyone has had any other involvement in the word, term, name, whatever it is, other than a fruity drink; I would love to know.
There’s no such word as “Lavacious”. You must be looking for the word “Libatious”, derived from the word “Libation” or the pouring of an alcoholic drink. Steely Dan uses this word, “libatious” in his 1977 song, Deacon Blues… “Libatious sensations…”
