Dizzy Dee

Motorbike To Morgue

And NO, he is still alive. Zunaid Hoosen Mia was caught speeding his bike at a mere 276km/h (that is 171.5 mph) because he was late for his breakfast run. His punishment? 150 hours community service in the morgue!! I think that should be disturbing experience, but hopefully a wake up call for this maniac! He claims that he didn’t know at what speed he was travelling, because it was too dangerous to look down at such a speed.

Speeding Bike

The judge wanted to suspend Mia’s driver’s license, but took into account that he is the sole breadwinner for his wife, and three small children. If you ask me, its more of a risk to have him on his bike, than without a license, but who am I to judge. I’m just still wondering why the judge didn’t think of public transport?

He was also given a fine of R60 000 or three years in prison. Two-thirds of his sentence was suspended for five years.

At that speed his biggest mistake was getting caught. And they only caught him when he stopped (?).
Not the brightest of bulbs there.

“150 hours community service in the morgue!! I think that should be disturbing experience,”

Do you think that people who work in morgues are disturbed by the constant sight of dead people. Not likely. One trip to the morgue would be disturbing, 150 hours of community service in the morgue is a publicity stunt which will have no benefit to this man, because at the end of 150 hours he will be totally used to being around dead bodies, and what you think is disturbing will be nothing more than routine for him.

I agree he was doff… to be caught that is.
Personally I feel the traffic cops concentrate on speeding far too much, what about the taxi that just cuts in front of you? Moving violations like that and unroadworthy vehicles are a far bigger danger than a biker doing a fair lick of speed on a bike built to do it, same goes for supercars. :-)
Time for the cops to stop hiding behind bushes and do some real patrolling.
