Apart from the facts that I’ve always wanted to write, and be famous [haha], blogging is really a dream come true for me. Not only because I have an awesome audience, but because finally there is a way I can order and remember events in my life.
More importantly, the emotions that went with it. When I read some of my older posts, I’m proud of myself. For posting even when things went rough, and for venting my anger or frustration, instead of letting it build up.
According Wayne Hurlbert, blogging builds self esteem too. Now I don’t really had / have a problem with that, but its always good to be confident in who we are. I’m thinking more about what I do, why I do it, and how. I think about things that are said on the radio – way more thoroughly than what I used to. On the other hand you may consider me a blog addict. Before I fall asleep at night, I think about what I can write, and how. I know its pretty dumb, but hey, its those involuntary type thoughts, so there’s not much I can do about it? ![]()
Anyhow, I survive weekends without blogging, and I have enough “real life” friends – that means I’m safe, yes?

I love blogging, too, and have done so for two or three years. I know it sounds silly, but I need to write. I still entertain dreams of being a writer, going somewhere, dong something. However, I am a writer, because I write. And so are you.
Your Welcome! One thing I like about blogging is the “Freedom Of Expression”
Hi, Danette!
Of course, you are. Safe, I mean!
So, you want to be famous?! Ok, you already are! Just have a look at my blog.
And thanks for your visit and the comment you left.
Indian greetings.
I’ve been blogging for about 3 years between 4 different blogs and have enjoyed the interaction with other bloggers.
Hi Danette
I am a new comer to blogging and have only been blogging since May of this year and love it. I love blogging as I an a scrapbooker and can use pasts posts in my layouts. I love writing and see blogging as a way to have yet another creative output. As for eloping I highly recommend it……
If you stay away on the weekends, and keep your posting to one or two a day, I think you’re probably safely far away from the ‘addict’ category. If you start writing 9 posts a day over three blogs, all the while commenting on dozens of others…you might be in trouble. But even then, if it’s what you want to do? Why not? Congrats on a successful blog.
Thanks for visiting my blog Danette!
I have only been blogging since Spring and it’s addictive. I’m even thinking of a second blog. I enjoy it, and while I don’t fall asleep thinkging about my posts, I do think about them and plan in advance. I also take a break on weekends. If I’m away from my computer for a few days, I do feel like, uh-oh, I need to update my blog!
From what I’ve read, I think you’re safe!
I also like you categories of blog readers/stats! I’ve never actually checked my stats, but I can tell from the number of hits I get and who is leaving comments and who is not (but knows what I am up to anyway!)
Isn’t that weird..I just clicked on the face I thought might be yours at 25peeps.co and got it first click..you know what they say…there are no coincidences. Thanks for clicking on mine pagemate. Great blog.

I blog to fight the good fight myself, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t read other blogs
My stats are mostly hard-core political junkies, which suits me fine. I tried a more personal blog for awhile, but my heart just wasn’t in it…
You’re definitely safe.
Blogging is fun, but it shouldn’t rule your life completely.
Keep it up; you’ve got a good, honest, and well-written thing going here.
Keep the balance, and enjoy.
Hi Danette! You is kiddin’ yerself! Bloggin is a sickness! We all gots it! Day and night! ‘Cept fer me! I aint got it ’cause I aint got no computer!
I have a very specialized blog (dogs), but I’ve met so many bloggers who are animal lovers that it’s been really gratifying to meet them. I enjoy the research and the writing. It’s a little addicting I will admit.
That’s funny that you think about what you’re going to write about before going to sleep. I just read a book by Chuck Palahniuk (“Stranger Than Fiction”) in which he said he does the same thing. Always sizing up situations in his mind in the 3rd person perspective so he can accurately write about it later. There may be a professional writer in you afterall.
