Dizzy Dee

Slightly Delusional

NightmareHave you ever noticed how close to insanity the sane people are? I realized this when my Dad mentioned it to me, after I had two nightmares which seemed extremely real. Isn’t it strange how you whole body reacts to something your brain creates, and you believe.

We all know the type of dreams where you are falling, and then you suddenly jump in your bed. This was something like that, only so much more real. I heard someone outside making a noise, and then later on dreamt that my Dad phoned me, and whispered that I must get up cause he heard the noise again, and they’re close to my room. I was so panicky, that I got up out of bed immediately, and only realized it was a dream when I saw my phone lying on the bedside table, and then realized that my Dad hadn’t phoned me at all.

I suppose its quite normal, specially in the country that I live in, to have dreams like this, but its still awful. I’m just amazed at how real everything was. Maybe I AM a bit delusional?

I think everyone is slightly delusional. It’s completely normal to feel like that. Of course, when you start to see things in the corner of your vision, and then look and nothing’s there…

But that happnes to everyone right? Right??

Dag, that’d scare me too and I have had some scary dreams before too startling myself awake drenched in sweat. It’s not good.

I know what you mean, I saw a documentary years ago where an aboriginal tribe was being studied, this tribe would gather and discuss their different dreams..young people were taught that they controlled theredreams and to become masters of their dreams..they were told “if you are falling, Fly…If you are being attacked, become invincible…” so that’s what they would probably told you to do..You could have morphed into Sheena in your dreams and repelled the intruders……Who is delusional now!! Okay, probably me..(-:

This has also happened to me, especially during stressful times. You are not alone.

I have exactly the same kind of dreams myself. I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and find that I’m gripped by irrational fear, brought about by an insane dream.

Maybe living in South Africa has something to do with that?

It’s called a hypnic jerk, and it means you should probably go to bed earlier. :)

But yeah, the other night I dreamt I got my car stolen and my house broken into in one long dream. The next minute I was cutlery shopping naked in Pick ‘n Pay (Bedworth Park).

Who knows what it all means. Dr. Phil says it means you have to buy his book.
