Google Wave

Woohooo – I have received my invite to join Google Wave, and immediately joined. Now I’m not too sure if I’m missing something, but its not as exciting as I hoped :S

If any of you have any suggestions of what you enjoy most about Google Wave please share!

I think I still need to spend some more time on there to figure it out though. As mentioned in the about section, Google Wave is about sharing documents, photo’s, maps and more. Its about collaborating, and sharing information in a live environment – i.e. real time conversations.

I don’t have too many contacts on my account yet, and should probably give it a fair shot before I’m disappointed, but for now I can’t give it a thumbs up yet.

I’ve read that quote 5 times now. I just got Google Wave Now what? There doing the same thing as with GMail a slow release with invitations so I guess they think it will be the next big thing. It might be but because it’s real time collaboration and social networking, I don’t think it will really work unless your entire network is their or at least part of it.

I think I’ll study up on it and see if I can get an invite, maybe write a blog post on it.

Self-described “personal communication and collaboration tool” announced by Google at the Google I/O conference on May 27, 2009. It is a web-based service, computing platform, and communications protocol designed to merge e-mail, instant messaging, wikis, and social networking.

This is why google is the top search engine in the world.
