Also discovered that if you accidentally put too much salt in your pot, place a slice of dry bread on top of the food. It absorbs all the extra salt and makes your mishap edible again. Comes in handy when you are student cooking for the first time :) Good stuff!

It acts as a "sponge" to pick up all the tiny shards! I've never heard of baby powder to unstick sand at the beach, but that's such a good tip!
