I just did the normal rounds on my own blog. Answering all the comments, and after commenting about 6 times or so, my comments got chucked in the SPAM folder? 
Suppose its a safety feature of Wordpress, but I found it rather annoying to see that after I had posted a comment for the second time, it didn’t show up. Then it struck me, check the SPAM folder, and “TA-DA“, there my comments were!!!
So if your comments aren’t showing up on my site, please e-mail me about it? I’ll make sure to “de-spam” your comment(s). If you don’t mail me about it, it might just get trashed along with the other SPAM comments, as I get hundreds of those per day.

At least you can sleep sound at night knowing your bloggy won’t be spammed to death!
it’s kind of funny to have your own comments considered spam. but then it kind of sucks that the system doesn’t recognize you as the owner.

I find Akismet extremely good; no system is perfect, though.
I’ll have to remember this when my own comments don’t show up on my site! Kinda funny though that it wouldn’t recognize you at all as the owner.

I get hundreds of spam a day, too. I hate it, but I really like that Askimet catches it. I hardly ever find real mail in the spam box, but it’s been known to happen.

That’s a ridiculous spam system, I just have comment moderation where i accept or reject.

Yoshi, I’d have thought so too, weird. Maybe some owners spam their own blogs, and want Aksiment to catch those comments? LOL… I really dont know why though!

The weekend was great thank you. Enjoyed the much anticipated rest, but had to live through unbearable heat. I think the weekend’s temperatures went up to about 32º C [89.6 º F].

I hate comment spam! The jerks that send it should have every bit of what they send out redirected right back at them – if only there was a way. Did I mention that I hate comment spam?
